Todd Rogers

Born in Wisconsin, Todd Rogers moved to Venice in 1971. Inspired by Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Street Survivors” album, he started playing guitar in 1975. Mostly self taught using a turn-table and listening to albums by legendary bands featuring his favorite guitar players—Lynyrd Skynyrd, Santana, Led Zeppelin and Stevie Ray Vaughn, to name a few—helped Todd create a style that ranges from classic rock to blues to country. His first real band, 90 Proof, played all through high school and eventually started playing in bars, with The Englewood Bowl as their first gig. In the 80’s he met Steve Shower and has had several band projects with him over the years, including a short stint with BANDANA in the early 90’s. Todd married Laura in 1993 and they have two children, now 7 and 9. He has also played with a popular Port Charlotte country rock band, Boothill, opening for national acts at County Fairs and the Punta Gorda Block Parties. Now Todd has rejoined BANDANA, sharing the goal of bringing some new tunes—along with some original music—to their loyal fans.
