GARY ARNOLD
A native of Springfield Massachusetts, Gary started playing drums as a child in
1967. He bought his first real drum kit, a set of Ludwigs in 1969, and spent the
next few years playing in local Springfield bands such as Blue Heat & Blue. Upon
relocating to Florida, he joined a popular local group in Charlotte County known
as Warehouse, and worked with them from 1979 – 1981. In 1985, Gary and some of
the original members of Warehouse formed the Classic Rock Band called Knight
Hawk which became an extremely popular group in the Port Charlotte area during
the 80’s & 90’s. Gary continues to work occasionally with a Rhythm & Blues Trio,
The Luther Coffee Band.
Gary has been the drummer of “BANDANA” since 2001. He counts the Beatles, Jimi
Hendrix, Cream, Blood Sweat & Tears, & Chicago among the musical groups that
most influence his playing style. He is well known to local area musicians and
is respected for his serious attitude and commitment to his music. When not
behind one of his drum kits, Gary enjoys scuba diving, traveling, & driving his
jeep.
