As a young teenager growing up in Oswego, New York, David discovered a burning desire to learn to play music. His formal training began in percussion playing drums in his high school band. By the time he was 15 years old he was playing rock music in clubs and at parties as well as performing Big Band music with an area orchestra. He got his first taste of playing with real professionals when he was asked to perform as a back-up musician for The Ink Spots. In the mid-70’s he toured the Northeast with a group called Brandywine, playing mostly dance clubs and ultimately opening for Gloria Gaynor. For 2 years he traveled with Trademark, a top show band, performing in some of the country’s finest showrooms like The Detroit Plaza in Detroit, The Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta and The Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota playing everything from country to Broadway! Dave played in Montgomery, Alabama in a 20-piece band before a move to New Orleans in 2002, working in the blues and cajun clubs along Bourbon Street. After moving to Florida in 2004, Dave recently joined BANDANA as a full-time member.
